DAY 1: SINGAPORE – MELBOURNE

Your vacation begins with a pleasant flight from Singapore to Melbourne, the “Garden City” of Australia.

DAY 2: MELBOURNE - LAUNCESTON

Take a domestic flight from Melbourne to Launceston. Upon arrival, visit Launceston’s biggest natural attraction, Cataract Gorge Reserve. Take a chairlift, spanning across the huge natural basin of Suring waters of the South Esk River. Then, proceed to Tasmanian Gourmet Sauce Company, where you may savour some award-winning jams and chutneys.

DAY 3: LAUNCESTON – TAMAR VALLEY – LAUNCESTON

This morning, travel to the outskirts of Launceston to Tamar Valley where you are able to visit Tasmania’s little piece of Switzerland at Grindelwald Swiss Village and see the lake, chapel, resort and shops. Stop at a winery for some wine-tasting. Later, travel north to Beauty Point for guided tour of Seahorse World. Discover the fascinating world of the seahorses where males give birth, watch the breeding program and touch various marine life in the touch pool. Thereafter, visit Platypus House. This venue Tasmanian attraction is the only venue where visitors may watch Tasmanian platypuses in an indoor setting. Before head back to Launceston, make a stop at Bridestowe Lavender Estate where you may shop for a wide range of lavender based products and souvenirs.

DAY 4: LAUNCESTON – SHEFFIELD – CRADLE MOUNTAIN

After breakfast, depart Launceston and head to Melita Honey Farm to sample a wide variety of honey including Tasmania’s leatherwood honey. Next, enjoy your underground rivers and glow-worms tour at Marakoopa Cave. This is a wet cave and contains spectacular decoration as well as the largest glow-worm display in any public access cave in Australia. Photo stop at Sheffield, also known as Town of Murals. After that, continue the journey to Dove Lake to admire the spectacular views of Cradle Mountain and if you are lucky, you may be able to catch a glimpse of its reflections on the lake surface on a clear day! 

Note: Melita Honey Farm closed on Saturday.

DAY 5: CRADLE MOUNTAIN – HAMILTON - HOBART

This morning, depart to Curringa Farm for a unique Aussie farm experience. Go on a farm tour, join in farm activities include sheep shearing, working farm dogs, viewing crop in season, forest walk and enjoy an authentic Aussie BBQ lunch on-site. Therefore, stop by Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary to feed the free ranging kangaroos! The Sanctuary boasts many amazing native animals including Tasmanian devils which are active during the day so they can be viewed at any time. Arrive at the smallest capital in Australia – Hobart.

DAY 6: HOBART – TASMAN PENINSULA – HOBART

After breakfast, enjoy your guided tour at Tas Live Abalone Factory to understand more about abalone and get an opportunity to purchase a variety of abalone. Next, head to Port Arthur in Tasman Peninsula, Australia’s most intriguing historic site. Take a tour around the sprawling site for insights into the hardships endured by the convicts in the past. This will be followed by a cruise where you can marvel at the historic buildings and ruins set amongst beautiful gardens. Continue to Eaglehawk Neck site to see the Tessellated Pavement, Tasman’s Arch, the Blowhole and Devil’s Kitchen, all striking natural formations. Thereafter, visit Sorell Fruit Farm for a farm tour. During spring and summer, you may pick fruits and taste fruit wines. During other seasons, you will have the opportunity to shop for jams and other fruit products. Make a quick photo stop at Richmond Bridge. This is a picture perfect town that tells the story of an early Australian colonial village and also home to Australia’s oldest bridge, built by convict labour.

Note: Sorell Fruit Farm is open from October to May and closed during the winter months from June to September.

DAY 7: HOBART

This morning, spend the day at the leisure. You may explore the fun of shopping with your own leisure or try your luck at Casino.

DAY 8: HOBART - MELBOURNE – SINGAPORE

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your homeward flight, with wonderful memories and superb souvenirs from your Australia vacation with CTC Travel!
