DAY 2: Chengdu - Songpan - Jiuzhaigou

After breakfast, we will go on our coach to Jiuzhaigou via Maoxian, which was Da Yu’s hometown. Da Yu was a hero of water control in ancient China. Next, we will visit the Ancient Qiang Village. The Qiang towers, melodious bamboo flutes, colourful Qiang embroidery, and Qiang Sharon passionate dances and the mellow sweet and pure natural barley wine all show the unique and evident ethnic characteristics. It is known as the “living fossil” of the Chinese nation. After lunch, we will continue to Songpan and along the way we will be able to see the source of the Minjiang River - Gonggang Ridge and view the Songpan Ancient Wall. We will checkin at Jiuzhaigou hotel to rest for the day.

Meals plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 3: Jiuzhaigou

After a good rest and breakfast, we will begin our Jiuzhaigou tour immediately. The name Jiuzhaigou came from the nine Tibetan villages scattered throughout the valley. Majestic and unrivalled emerald lakes, layered waterfalls, colourful forests, snow peaks and Tibetan folk villages, all in harmony with the world – it is nature’s jewel set in the mountains. We will try some Tibetan Tea. (Charter bus for Jiuzhaigou scenic area at guest’s own expense).

Meals plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 4: Jiuzhaigou - Huanglong - Maoxian

After breakfast, we will proceed to the Huanglong Scenic Area. It is known as “the heavenly scenery on earth”. The clear water flowing down from the high, faraway snow-covered mountain forms sparkling, crystalline pools tier upon tier. The pools surrounded by dark green forests reflect the snow-white ice peaks and display a riot of colours. (If weather does not permit, during mid- October to mid-April, Huanglong Scenic Area will be replaced by Munigou valley). After visiting the Geology & Mineral Exhibition we will coach to Maoxian.

Meals plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 5: Maoxian - Huanglongxi Town - Leshan - Mt.Emei

Today, our first stop will be at the Honey factory. Then we will head to Huanglongxi Ancient Town. It has over 2100 years of history. Visitors who come in to explore this beautiful town will be amazed by the ancient cobbled streets, temples, and wharves and houses along its winding alleys. With more than 180 films that filmed here, it is known as “China’s Hollywood”. Next, we will coach to Leshan to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha - the largest stone sculpture of Buddha in the world. The sculpture sits at the confluence of the Minjiang, Dadu and Qingyi rivers. Take a Cruise to view this Buddha. After that, we will check-in at Mt. Emei hotel to rest. Enjoy the Xiba Beancurd for dinner.

Meals plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 6: Mt.Emei - Chengdu

Mt. Emei is one of the four sacred Buddhist Mountains in China. Take a cable car to the Golden Summit. At the top, enjoy the snowy mountainous views in the west and the vast plains in the east. Next, we will coach back to Chengdu and visit The Jade Exhibition, and then enjoy a Sichuan Yuanyang Steamboat for dinner.

Meals plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 7: Chengdu - Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding - Chengdu

Today, we will spend our morning with the cutest, yet impressive, creatures in China! We will visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Tour the baby and adult panda areas and visit the red panda section to see the adorable animals. See the rare and beautiful Pandas lounging and nibbling on bamboo shouts. The enchanting and adorable Red Pandas are just as amazing to see! After that, coach back to Chengdu to visit Daxin Rubber products Shop. We will have an Herbal Cuisine for lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the Wide and Narrow Alleys. The alleys used to be a common place for family gatherings during the Qing Dynasty. These old-fashioned streets and courtyards are the major historical and the cultural preservations of Chengdu. We will also visit the famous Sichuan Embroidery to see how this beautiful oriental handicraft is made. Enjoy Sichuan Cuisine for dinner.

Meals plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 8: Chengdu - Singapore

After breakfast, our first stop is at the Baoshu Tang shop, then we will proceed to Jinli Ancient Street. It was nationally well known during the Qin, Han and the Three Kingdoms dynasties. There are tea houses, inns, restaurants, bars and theatres, and also snacks, handicrafts and local specialties that show the charm of Sichuan culture. After that, we will visit the Chengdu New Century Global Center, the world’s largest building in terms of floor area. It opened in September of 2013. There are two commercial centres, hotels, an IMAX cinema, a "Mediterranean village" and more. It has become an entertainment and shopping paradise in Chengdu. Then, we will make our way to the airport for our flight back to Singapore. We hope you have enjoyed your vacation with CTC Travel.

(NOTE: Day 8 hotel will be provided if we take flight CA403 to Singapore, which will then become a 9-day tour. On Day 9, we will head to the airport for our flight back to Singapore.)
