DAY 1: Singapore – London – Edinburgh

Assemble at Changi International Airport for your flight to Edinburgh – Scotland’s Capital via London

DAY 2: Edinburgh

Welcome to Edinburgh! On arrival, embark on a full day tour to explore all this famous city has to offer.  Take in the famous sights of Edinburgh and start with a sightseeing tour of the city, with photo stops at the Royal Yacht Britannia, the former royal boat of Elizabeth II, the Palace of Holyrood, the queen’s official residence in Edinburgh, and Parliament. After lunch, visit the impressive Edinburgh Castle and have some free time for shopping along the Royal Mile. This evening, you’re in for a treat with a traditional  Scottish dinner, featuring Scottish music and dancers – who knows, you might be invited up for a dance or two! Overnight in Edinburgh.

DAY 3: Edinburgh – Urquhart Castle – Inverness

This morning get to know something else that Scotland is famous for other than its scenery – whiskey! Visit the Blair Atholl Whiskey Distillery, where you will learn about the whiskey distilling process (and maybe try a wee dram or two!). Continue to visit the Urquhart Castle via the famous Loch Ness, where you will have time to try to spot the famous Nessie. Finish the day and overnight in Inverness.

DAY 4: Inverness – Loch Lomond – Glasgow

This morning, travel to Oban, the gateway to the Scottish isles, via the magical landscapes of Fort Augustus, Fort William and Glencoe. After lunch, drive through Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, where you can enjoy the heart-stopping scenery and keep a keen eye out for Scottish wildlife. Experience a Loch Lomond lunch cruise over 200 metres in depth, it’s also Scottish 3rd deepest Loch with gorgeous scenery before transferring to Glasgow. Overnight in Glasgow.

DAY 5: Glasgow – Cairnryan – Belfast

After breakfast, transfer to Cairnryan and board the cruise to Belfast.  Upon arrival to Belfast, start your sightseeing across the beautiful city of Belfast, see the historic landmarks and listen to an entertaining commentary on Belfast past present and future.  The route covers Titanic’s birthplace, Grand Opera house, City Hall, Waterfront Hall and St Anne’s Cathedral.

DAY 6: Belfast – Enniskillen – Galway

Continue to Enniskillen, take a panoramic group tour around Enniskillen town before stopping at Enniskillen Castle & visit the Fermanagh Country Museum.  Enniskillen Castle, built almost 600 years ago, was once the stronghold of the Gaelic Maguire chieftains and is situated beside Lough Erne.  Fermanagh Country Museum has award-winning exhibitions including “Country People, Country Places: ‘The Making of a Landscape’, which gives an insight into Fermanagh’s natural history, archaeology and rural lifestyle.  After your visit, we travel to Galway for overnight stay.

DAY 7: Galway – Liscannor – Bunratty – Limerick

Start your adventure across Ireland!  Head west to Limerick, which was designated Ireland’s first ever Irish city of culture for 2014.  Situated by the Shannon River, it blends the historic with the contemporary.  After lunch, some free time to look around before transfer to the famous Cliffs of Moher, a vertical cliff that towers 203m above the sea, with a sheer cliff face.  The views across Galway Bay are stunning – on a clear day, you can see far into the distance.

DAY 8: Limerick – Killarney – Cork

Travel southwards today across the beautiful Irish countryside, arriving into Killarney, a town in the middle of verdant countryside.  After lunch, be prepared to be amazed by the astounding views as you take a shortened Ring of Kerry route, winding around mystical ruins, pristine beaches and rugged coastline.  Finish the afternoon in Cork, Ireland’s second largest city and often referred to as the ‘real capital’ of Ireland!

DAY 9: Cork – Blarney Castle – Waterford

Depart Cork this morning and head to Blarney Castle, famous for its Blarney Stone.  Legend has it that if you kiss the stone (no easy task, as you have to dangle upside down!), then you will get the ‘gift of the gab’ – to be able to talk well.  Continue to Blarney Castle, drive on to Waterford, Ireland’s oldest city with its medieval narrow lanes and traditional Irish atmosphere.  Visit the Waterford Crystal Factory, and enjoy a tour of how the intricate glass is handcrafted.  The afternoon is yours to explore the city.

DAY 10: Waterford – Dublin

Leave Waterford this morning and head back to Dublin.  In the afternoon, take a panoramic sightseeing tour of the city, where you will see the best known landmarks of the city such as Trinity College, St Stephens’s Green, St Patrick’s Cathedral and the Bank of Ireland.  In the evening, make the most of your farewell dinner on the last night of your trip.

DAY 11: Dublin – Singapore

Bid farewell to Italy today as you are transferred to the airport for your flight home, bringing back fond memories of your holiday with CTC Travel!
