DAY 1: Singapore - Amman

Your vacation starts with a pleasant flight to AMMAN.

DAY 2: Amman

  • Start your trip with Amman city tourThe Roman Theatre, was the centrepiece of Roman Philadelphia
  • Amman Citadel – Located on the top of a mountain with a spectacular panoramic view of the city. There’s plenty to see, but the Citadel’s most striking sights are the Temple of Hercules and the Ummayad Palace
  • Amman Downtown – Walk around the downtown of Amman, is the best way to experience the local street life

DAY 3: Amman - Umm Qais - Ajloun - Jerash - Amman

  • Umm Qais, Ancient Gadara – Located at north of Amman, was one of the most brilliant ancient Greco-Roman cities of the Decapolis and according to the Bible, the spot where Jesus cast out the Devil from two mad men into a herd of pigs (Mathew 8:28-34)
  • Ajloun Castle - Is an Islamic fort built high on a hill to protect the country against Crusader attacks with a magnificent vista of the entire Jordan Valley below
  • At noon, drive through the pine forests and olive groves, until you will reach the Ruins of the Ancient Greco Roman City of Jerash. The guide will take you for a tour through the colonnaded street, amphitheater, churches, temples and the vast Roman Forum, said to be the best-preserved Roman ruins outside of Italy

DAY 4: Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Petra

  • Madaba St. George Church - It’s known for its spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, Madaba is home to the famous 6th century Mosaic Map of Jerusalem of St. George, covering modern-day Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian Territories, plus Egypt's Sinai
  • Mount Nebo - After 40 years leading the headstrong Israelites in the desert, Moses stood on the windswept summit of Mount Nebo and viewed the Promised Land of Canaan — after having been told by God “you shall not cross over there”
  • After that, drive via Kings Highway and Wadi Al Mujib, a deep and majestic cut through rugged highlands that drains into the Dead Sea, then continue to visit Kerak Castle, a crusader castle built during the twelfth century and was initially called Crac Des Moabites. It is one of the largest crusader castles in the Levant
  • Continue the journey to Petra

DAY 5: Petra

  • Today, you will explore the Red Rose City of Petra 
  • Petra - A UNESCO World Heritage Site. Begin an unforgettable trip on horseback through the Siq (Approximately 800 meters). From here walking till you reach The Treasury, one of the most elaborate temples in the ancient Arab Nabatean Kingdom city of Petra. Along the lower road of Petra you first admire the Street of Facades with many tombs lined up along the cliff. Walk along the Street of Facades to Petra's spectacular Theater, hewn directly from the rock in one piece, which can seat up to 8500 people. Petra's most awe-inspiring Monastery is also one of the most taxing to reach. Indeed, you need to climb roughly 850 steps to get the privilege to admire it

(Please keep in mind that in Petra distances can be quite long and you will be walking on unpaved terrain most of the time)

DAY 6: Petra - Wadi Rum

  • Little Petra - Also known as Al-Beidah, it is considered one of the most amazing examples of Nabataean water systems and used as caravans stations for the traders who used to pass through Petra
  • Continue the journey to Wadi Rum – Called as Valley of the Moon, is known for its red-pink sands, stunning natural arches and mountains, and prehistoric rock engravings, here you will find adventure and feel the romance of the Arabian desert. (Lawrence of Arabia was filmed in Wadi Rum, other movies like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Prometheus, Red Planet, The Last Days on Mars, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Passion in the Desert and The Martian were also filmed here)
  • 2 Hours 4X4 Tour - Explore Lawrence’s road, visiting the most spectacular sights of Wadi Rum. Driving among sand dunes, graffiti, inscriptions and canyons as well as having races through the dry oasis. Exploring the most interesting and exciting sites of Wadi Rum Sunset Tour ending at Wadi Umm Eshreen, followed by transfer to your Private Bedouin Camp
  • Tonight, enjoy your traditional authentic Bedouin Dinner with Folklore Party (Subject To Weather) under a starry sky

DAY 7: Wadi Rum - Aqaba

  • Drive to Aqaba - The only coastal city in Jordan. The clear, warm waters and vibrant coral reefs are the best in the Red Sea
  • After check-in hotel, free time for swimming, snorkeling and relaxing. Or you may join some optional tour like Glass-Bottom Boat Tour, Neptune Boat Sails and others water sports

DAY 8: Aqaba - Dead Sea - Baptism Site - Amman

  • After breakfast, free at leisure till noon
  • Dead Sea - Drive down to the lowest point on earth. Bordering Israel, the West Bank and Jordan and 400 meters below sea level. Enjoy floating on water and cover yourself in mud said to restore your health and beauty!
  • The baptism of Jesus - As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him…” (Matthew 3:16-17)
  • Drive back to Amman

DAY 9: Amman - Azrak - Singapore

  • Desert Castle Of Azrak - Is a collective term which refers to numerous structures located in the desert in eastern Jordan. These include castles, fortresses, palaces, royal retreats, and etc. It is great being able to tell people you have stood in the exact same room where Lawrence of Arabia once sat while drawing up battle plans during the Great Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Turks. You will visit three surprising examples of Islamic art and architecture Azrak, Amra, Kharaneh Castles
  • Bid farewell to Jordan, flight back to Singapore, thank you for choosing CTC Travel and we look forward to see you again
