DAY 1: SINGAPORE - ISTANBUL

Your vacation starts with a pleasant flight to Istanbul, the only city built on two continents: Asia and Europe.

DAY 2: ISTANBUL - CANAKKALE

Upon arrival, commence on your sightseeing tour. Visit the Topkapi Palace- a palace during the Ottoman Empire, now a museum with a wide collection of Porcelains, Treasuries, etc. Next, we visit the Blue Mosque – the largest religious complexes in Istanbul. Take a stroll through the site of the ancient Hippodrome, once the sporting ground of chariots. See the Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column and Ibrahim Pasa Palace that sits opposite. Proceed to St Sophia Museum, a unique combination of Christianity and Islamic under one roof. After lunch, we depart Canakkale via Galipoli. Cross the Asia side of Turkey by ferry. Witness one of the war sites during the First World War.

DAY 3: CANAKALLE - BERGAMA - KUSADASI

After breakfast drive to visit infamous wooden horse (horse in pier, from troy movie). In scientific terms, its extensive remains are the most ignificant demonstration of the first contact between the civilizations of Anatolia and the Mediterranean world. Moreover, the siege of Troy by Spartan and Achaean warriors from Greece in the 13th or 12th century B.C., immortalized by Homer in the Iliad, has inspired great creative artists throughout the world ever since. Then drive to the Bergama Town Center, it is a popular district, we will see the town center and local people living area and we will also get a chance to take a photos of Acropolis from a distance, Acropolis is an architectural masterpiece that is perched on the city’s highest point. Along the way, feast your eyes on the beautiful Agean Sea view with lush olive trees and some Greek and Turkish islands. After lunch, drive to Kusadasi. If time permits, we may stop over at a Turkish Delight and Apple Tea Outlet in Kusadasi.

DAY 4: KUSADASI – EPHESUS - PAMUKKALE

Start the day with an upbeat fashion show showcasing high quality leather products made in Turkey. Visit the House of Virgin Mary, where she is believed to have spent her last years Next, we set off for Selcuk and explore Ephesus ancient city, one of the world’s most outstanding archaeological sites. Walk in its well-preserved marble streets to the Library of Celsius, the Odeon, Grand Theatre,Temple of Hadrian, Roman Bath etc. After lunch we depart for Pamukkale (Cotton Castle), visit the extensive ruins of Hierapolis- known for its thermal baths and health centre. Thereafter, see “Cotton Castle” or Pamukkale’s magical and unique terraces & castles created by deposits of white limestone from thermal springs.

DAY 5: PAMUKKALE – KONYA - CAPPADOCIA

Today, travel to Konya. Visit a 700 year old ancient caravanserai (Tepesi Delikhan). Next, visit the museum of 13th century Philosopher Melvana Celaleddin-i Rumi, which used to be the cloister for Mevlevi Dervishes. Mevlana was a philosopher and mystic of Islam, but not a Muslim of the orthodox type. His doctrine advocates unlimited tolerance, positive reasoning, goodness, charity and awareness through love. To him and to his disciples all religions are more or less truth. Looking with the same eye on Muslim, Jew and Christian alike, his peaceful and tolerant teaching has appealed to men of all sects and creeds. Continue to Cappadocia.

DAY 6: CAPPADOCIA

Hot air ballooning over the charming landscape during sun rise is optional this morning time. Next, get the rare chance to experience the beauty and work of Turkey’s handmade crafts through a turkish carpet weaving course. Following this, a visit to the Pigeon Valley and photo stops will be made at Uchisar “castle” village, a fantasy-land of strange and wonderful works of man and nature. Photo stop at Esentepe Hill and Fairy Chimneys Valley. Then, proceed to Avanos Pottery Village, set on the banks of the Kizilirmak (Red River). Finally, a chance to view turkish semi precious turkish turquoise ( the name given by Marco Polo which means color of Turks).

DAY 7: CAPPADOCIA - ANKARA - BOLU

Today, be enchanted by the Underground City of Serhatli, once a place of refuge for 15000 Christians. Witness the ancient bedrooms, church, meeting hall and food storage rooms in this eight-storey city connected by 30km of corridors and passageways. Next, drive pass picturesque Salt Lake for break and arrive into Ankara – capital of Turkey. Our Ankara sightseeing highlights include the magnificent Ataturk Mausoleum.

DAY 8: BOLU-ISTANBUL

Drive back to Istanbul. It’s shopping time at the 550 years old Grand Bazaar, which has more than 4000 shops selling local products. Tonight you can join the two continents cruise dinner in the sea of Marmara optional tour.

DAY 9: ISTANBUL - SINGAPORE

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home to Singapore, bringing back wonderful memories and superb souvenirs from your Turkish vacation with CTC travel.
