Dates all the way back to the 1950s, Singapore still used only four digits instead of six for postal codes. And at the entrance of the village, a worn sign bearing the old four-digit postal code remains as a nostalgic reminder of yesteryear. The kampong currently houses approximately 26 families, a mix of Malay and Chinese. You will find colourful onestory houses, a canal, a small mosque, and winding dirt paths weaving through the town.

[ 11:00 ]  Woodland Waterfront Park, located at Admiralty Road west in Singapore and overlooks the sea from the north. Vantage points located along the trail gives visitors a panoramic view of the entire coastal park and the Straits of Johor. Here you can see the water pipes along the Causeway linking Singapore to Johor, review the history of water supply in Singapore and Malaysia.

[ 12:30 ]  Lunch – Enjoy Singapore's most famous Bak Kut Teh cuisine.

[ 14:30 ]  Kampong Gelam once a Muslim quarter, it has evolved into a mecca for arts and entertainment. By day, Kampong Gelam is an explosion of colours against the backdrop of the magnificent Sultan Mosque. The walls of the eclectic mix of indie boutiques, generations-old stores, trendy cafes and eateries are splashed with art created by local and international artists. Haji Lane and Bussorah Street come alive with late-night revellers, buskers and live music, living up to its reputation as a cultural heritage area that delivers vibrant experiences.

[ 15:30 ]  Enjoy coffee break time at Killiney which is a well-established brand with a history dating back to 1919.

[ 16:30 ]  Marina Barrage - it is a dam built across the 350-metre wide Marina Channel to keep out seawater, creating the 15th reservoir in downtown Singapore. Water from Local Catchment is one of the Four National Taps, with the other three being imported water, NEWater and desalinated water. The Green Roof at Marina Barrage is about the size of four football fields. The landscape provides public access as an open recreational park. The public can enjoy a panoramic view of Singapore’s city skyline and open sea.
