DAY 1: Singapore - Beijing - Datong

Assemble at Changi Airport for your flight to Beijing, the capital of China. Upon arrival, we will take our coach to Datong for accommodation.

DAY 2: Datong– Hohhot

Hohhot comes from the Mongolian word for “green city”. It is the region's political, economic, culture and transport centre. Today, we will visit the Tomb of Wang Zhaojun, one of the four beauties in ancient China. Her tomb is also called “Green Grave Holding a Beauty”. Next, visit the well-known Dazhao Monastery, the only imperial temple in Inner Mongolia. Lastly, visit the Inner Mongolia Museum in which the largest dinosaur fossil in Asia is kept.

DAY 3: Hohhot – Grassland

After breakfast, proceed to the Grassland by coach. Upon arrival, you will be attended by local welcome ceremony while experiencing the hospitality and warmth of the Mongolian people. Next, enjoy Mongolian traditional activities like the Mongolian Wrestling and Horse-racing Performance. Today, pay a visit to the nomadic families where you will be treated with their homemade Milk Tea and other snacks. You may also enjoy horse-riding or take a lele cart ride and view Aobao at your own expense. The most important use of Aobao, which means a stone heap, is for sacrifice. People always sacrifice the best corn, meet, fruit and alcohol to Aobao and pray for good weather, good harvest and good fortune. Taste the Mongolian delicacy, Roast Lamb for dinner. In the evening, enjoy the Mongolian Singing & Dance performance at the Campfire Party.

DAY 4: Grassland – Xiangshawan

View the fantastic sunrise at the grassland, and transfer to Kubuqi desert after your Mongolian style breakfast. Then, see the spectacular Singing Sand Ravine(Xiangshawan) which is located on the northern fringe of the Ordos Kubuqi Desert in the Dalaid Banner. When people are sliding down the slope from the top, the sand under them produces a rumbling sound. Go sand-sliding in a boat-shaped device or ride a camel at your own expenses. You will be excited by the vast grassland and golden desert. Tonight stay overnight at the Fushadao Resort, in which you can enjoy the buffet dinner and evening parties organized by the hotel*(*depending on the weather conditions).

DAY 5: Xiangshawan – Ordos

Fushadao Resort, an eco-friendly hotel in Xiangshawan Desert, is part of a large tourist resort built in the desert in recent years. This morning, free at own leisure to indulge yourself in the open space on the dune of Xiangshawan desert, to play in the swimming pool or relax in the hotel. After lunch, proceed to the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan Scenic Area consisting of the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan, History and Cultural Museum etc. This Mausoleum is composed of three yurt-style buildings with glazed tiles. Genghis Khan was considered as a true hero by Mongolian people. Next visit Kangbashi, the new political and cultural centre of Ordos.

DAY 6: Ordos – Hohhot

After breakfast, head for Baotou to visit Wudangzhao, a large Tibetan Buddhist monastery. It is the biggest and the best preserved lama monastery in Inner Mongolia, and one of the four largest lamaseries in China. The other three are the Potala Palace in Tibet, the Ta'er Monastery in Qinghai and the Labrang Lamasery in Gansu. Thereafter, proceed to Chilechuan Scenic Area, where you will take a boat ride to enjoy Hasuhai, a natural lake. Next, depart for Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Understand the technological process of making handicrafts in a Mengliang Ethnic Handicrafts Gallery.

DAY 7: Hohhot – Datong

Datong is one of the northern cities in Shanxi. With Hebei Province to the east and Inner Mongolia to the north, Datong is also an important northern transportation hub in China. Visit the Yungang Grottoes (tram car included). It is a treasure trove of Buddhist carvings unrivaled in the world with a variety of more than 51,000 statues. Next visit Nine Dragon Screen. Tonight, sit back and enjoy the farewell dinner served with multi-layered cakes, wine, and entertainments which will leave us with an unforgettable memories.

DAY 8: Datong–Beijing - Singapore

Today, enjoy your coach journey to Beijing. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your international flight back to Singapore. We hope you have enjoyed the trip with CTC Travel!
