Day 1 SINGAPORE - CHENGDU
Board our flight to Chengdu. After lunch, visit The Thatched Cottage of Du Fu. Du Fu, a very famous poet, lived in the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Just as its name implies, the Thatched Cottage of Du Fu was his home more than a thousand years ago. During his four years there, Du Fu composed more than 240 poems that are considered to be precious national treasures. Another attraction is Wuhou Memorial Temple. Wuhou (Martial Marquis) Memorial Temple is dedicated to Zhuge Liang, the Martial Marquis of Shu in the Three Kingdoms. Zhuge Liang was the personification of noble character and intelligence. Memorial temples erected in many places after his death include a famous one in Chendu. Next, visit Shu Silk Factory.

Day 2 CHENGDU - XIAN
After breakfast, proceed to Xian by domestic flight. Upon arrival, we will visit Shaanxi History Museum. Xian City was the capital city in thirteen dynasties which in total lasted over 1100 years. Consequently, the ancient history of Shaanxi is to some degree the ancient history of China. The Shaanxi History Museum considers it an obligation to be a showcase of ancient civilizations. .

Visit The Terracotta Warriors Museum. Arguably one of China's most famous and popular tourist sites, the Terracotta Warriors are among the top archaeological excavations of the 20th Century. The warriors have made Xian the biggest tourist destination today and the wealth in this city owes much to their discovery. This incredible collection of 6,000 men and their horses was actually discovered completely by accident by a group of peasants in 1974 who were digging a well!

Thereafter, visit Xian City Wall. The Xi'an City Wall is not only the most complete city wall that has survived in China, but it's also one of the largest and most complete ancient military systems of defense in the world. The city walls here were actually built on the fortifications of the Tang Forbidden City.

Day 3 XIAN
In the morning, Students visit local School in Xian, attend Flag-raising ceremony and attachment lessons at the school.
In the afternoon, Attachment Seminar on “Introduction to China” 专题讲座《中国概况介绍》. After lesson, visit The Forest of Steles. Steles are huge stone slabs which depict important calligraphic writing, often dating back to ancient times. They are held in high regard in China and many people study the artistry of these mammoth pieces. The Forest of Steles (Xi'an beilin)is located in the Confucian Temple on Sanxue Jie in Xi'an. This building was first built to preserve the Thirteen Classics of Filial Piety which were engraved during the Tang dynasty. A significant collection of Steles was gathered by the Qing dynasty and the building became known as the Forest of Steles.

Another attraction is Shuyuan Gate. Shuyuan Gate is a cultural street factually restored in the style of the ancient architectures of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. It is 570 meters (about 623 yards) long and 10 meters (about 11 yards) wide. Shuyuan Gate won its name because the Guanzhong Shuyuan (central Shaanxi academy, established in the Ming Dynasty), which was one of the leading academies in ancient China and the highest institution of Shaanxi Province in Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, was located here. Rambling down the street, you may taste the true life of people in Xian and find the remains of an ever-refulgent dynasty.

Day 4 XIAN
In the morning, Students attend the class at the school. In the afternoon, Attachment Seminar on “Xi'an Incident ” 专题讲座《西安事变》. After school, Visit The Museum of Xi’an Incident and Tang Paradise. Tang Paradise is a newly opened tourist attraction in April, 2005. Tang Paradise covers a total area of 1000 mu (about 165 acres) and of which 300 mu (about 49 acres) is water. This tourist attraction not only claims to be the biggest cultural theme park in the northwest region of China but also the first royal-garden-like park to give a full display of the Tang Dynasty's (618-907) culture. Altogether, twelve scenic regions are distributed throughout Tang Paradise to provide visitors with the enjoyment of twelve cultural themes and a perfect exhibition of the grandness, prosperity and brilliance of the culture of the Tang Dynasty. Day 5 XIAN
In the morning, Attachment Seminar on “Xi'an - Past to present” 专题讲座《古都西安的过去与现在》. Thereafter, visit Great Mosque. The Great Mosque in Xian is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved Islamic mosques in China. According to historical records engraved on a stone tablet inside, this mosque was built in 742 during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). This was a result of Islam being introduced into Northwest China by Arab merchants and travelers from Persia and Afghanistan during the mid-7th century when some of them settled down in China and married women of Han Nationality. Their descendants became Muslim of today. The Muslim played an important role in the unifications of China during the Yuan and Ming Dynasties. Hence, other mosques were also built to honor them.

Next, visit Moslem Street.Just as its name implies, Moslem Street is the hub of the Moslem community in Xian City. The buildings on both sides of the street are modeled on the styles of both the Ming (1368-1644) and the Qing Dynasties (1644-1911).

Proceed to The Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is located within the premises of the Temple of Great Maternal Grace (Dacien Si). This magnificent pagoda is four kilometers south of Xi'an and many regard it as a symbol of the city. The pagoda, built in 652 A.D, is a square pyramid and stands at 60 meters high and seven storeys tall. Legend has it that the Temple was built by Emperor Tang Gaozong to honor his mother, Empress Wende. The Temple is also said to have been built to house and protect Buddhist scriptures collected in India by the Chinese monk, Xuan Zang.

Day 6 XIAN - CHENGDU - SINGAPORE
In the morning, proceed to Chengdu by domestic flight. Visit Book Shop and Chunxi Road for shopping. Board our flight back to Singapore
