Take in the views of the distant mountain ranges of the southwest, to the sprawling city of Hobart below. Then follow your guide on a 21km downhill descent of the mountain. Watch the alpine terrain gradually being replaced by a magnificent forest and stop on several occasions to take in the varying views and snap a picture or two. Zip through the forest canopy hanging from harnessed guide wires connected by platforms or 'cloud stations', ranging from 25 to 50 metres above the forest floor. A comprehensive overview of the forest and its make up is provided by each of the resident guides, most of which, are local inhabitants who have grown up in and around this extraordinary asset.
